Amber Jewelry Making - An Athena Bee's Experiment

These harmless little beads are ticking me off way more than I was expecting.

I've just yelled "Grrrrr! I hate you, you mother-humpin silk string! I cast you down in anger!"

Well, we have one teething bracelet so far. It's a little sloppy, but it'sdone. Let me tell you something... jewelry making, beading in particular, is a little more involved than one may think. Them knots are tough, dude.

Without further ado, here's our first official Athena Bee's Teething Bracelet as modeled by Zofia:

She seemed to like it anyway.

Any beading advice would be welcomed warmly.

Love the bracelet! Also love Sammy's 1st Christmas P.J.'s being worn by Zoe Zoe! :)

This looks great! I'm sorry it was annoying. :(

Did you buy your bag of beads from the same place that sells the necklaces, etc.?

Ugh, I have tried Jewelry making and I too get SO annoyed. I thought about taking a class, but the ones I have found are too expensive so I just google and try to teach myself. I have made a few necklaces in the past but now I have a big bag of beads and wasted money sitting in my closet that I haven't touched in 2 years because it annoys me.

Hope you figure it out and if you ever find a class that isn't too expensive....I will go with you!

And the bracelet is really cute!

Mother-humpin' is a great expression. I must use it.

That looks frustrating....I want to swear just looking at the photo.

The bracelet looks great though! Maybe a dumb question (or one I could probably Google, but I'm lazy this evening...), but how are the beads tied? to the string to prevent a choking hazard? I would LOVE something like that for E, but she's a beast and would probably try to eat it off the string. ;)

@Sassy - I'm concerned about that too so she only wears it while she's up and supervised. I also tuck it under her sleeve. Not only does she forget about it that way, but it also keeps it up against the skin so it can really do its job.

Thanks for some quality points there. I am kind of new to online , so I printed this off to put in my file, any better way to go about keeping track of it then printing?
