And the time has come...

The time has come to say goodbye to Yoda. I can't make him live like this anymore for the sole purpose of keeping Louis and myself happy. This dog has been one of the best and funniest companions I've ever met. If you've never been French kissed by a Boston Terrier, then you have not lived my dear friends. My sister in law went with me and was there until the bitter end. For that I am eternally grateful. Also, Yoda's vet, Dr. Manolukas is truly a man that found his calling.
Yoda, you will be missed by all that have met you.

Man, it's tough.

Our dog is passing. This is horrible. My husband has had him for 10 years and I've been fortunate enough to be with them, for the last 6 years. He was diagnosed with cancer a couple years ago and was give two weeks to live. We weren't ready to give up, and obviously neither was Yoda so we've done everything to help him. All this time you never would have known that this little guy was full of cancer. Then all of a sudden he went downhill fast. We took him to his beloved vet (shout out to Dr. Manolukas at Holly Farms Animal Care Center) to put him down. Well Dr. Manolukas wanted to try one more thing (he's just as devoted as we are) but it only worked for about an hour.

Now it's just a waiting game. The whole family is taking turns laying with him (he's not acting like he hurts) and just keeping him happy.

I just wish I knew what to do for my husband.
