to be jolly?
I was in line at the store with many, many other Christmas shoppers when the people in front of me began a little spat. It went as follows:
"Christmas isn't about gifts!" Says Man
"I know that!!!" Says Woman
"What are ya, some sort of Jehovah's Witness? They don't believe in nothin'!" Yells Man
"I ain't no danged Jehovah's Witness. I'm a Baptist!" Woman
"Well Christmas is about Christ!" Man storms off. (?????????????)
I repeat this exchange to you because I am confused over what they are arguing, shocked that no one else seemed shocked, and alarmed that these people were serious!! I fear that I am now dumber after being in the middle of this and then repeating it.
