So I was just reading the blog Iris Took of Great Smials about her random celebrity sighting, and I was thinking about my all-time favorites. Dan Ackroyd strutted past me in Las Vegas, and while he's no Burt Reynolds, I was excited. Now, no one has EVER been able to top the randomness of my mom's yet. She saw "Bull" from Nightcourt at the airport and she "Didn't Stop Believin'" when she saw Steve Perry of Journey. Awesome.
Anybody have any random celebrity sightings?

YESSSSSSSSSS! Those are awesome.
My absolute best sighting was Ian Zierling aka Steve Sanders in Vail, CO at a dance club. I was obsessed with him at the time (I was about 21) and he yelled at me for taking a picture of him. What a douche-bag. Ever since then, my view of celebrities has been deflated. He dimmed the twinkle in my eye.
PS The picture is amazing. I am going to try to find it and post it.
I went swimming with Micheal J. Fox!! I was at the belagio in Vegas laying in the sun, then "Mike" walked passed me, nearly slipping on the wet cement. So I thought I would join him for a dip!! Were BFF's now!!!
years ago I was an extra in a sylvester stallone movie..called OVER THE TOP... FILMED IN LOS VAGAS
YaYa!!!!!!!!Are you kidding??????
LOL. Quite a few. But probably my fav was running in to Stanford from Sex and the City in the Hilton Hotel gift shop in Las Vegas. The funny thing was, he looked so ordinary that at first I thought he was someone who worked at my law firm. Then I was like, "sex and the city!" and he nodded. he was actually pretty cool--we chatted about my winning at craps. HA! THAT was completely random.
And hey--I loved trading places--I probably would be excited to meet Dan!
Sidenote--the MOST RANDOM--my friend was sitting next to Mr. Belding from Saved by the Bell at slot machines at Caesar's in Vegas. HA! She said she didn't speak because he looked like he was trying not to be notice. HAAAA!
I saw Busta Rhymes at a mall in Miami, FL once. I waited on Chris Klein at Don Pablo's. He was in Toledo with his then girlfriend, whats-her-face.
dhulles, Over the Top was the SHIT, that's awesome...if you don't tell people that on a daily basis, you're not telling it enough. I too met Dan Akroyd. I moved into my appt. downtown Cleve., the same day that the House of Blues opened, and my mom noticed him, and forced me to shake his hand, because I was more interested in how I was going to get all my shit in the elevator on one trip. And, you're right, he was no Burt Reynolds!
oooohhhh.... Mr. Belding is right up there!!! AWESOME!!!
Hurley, are you jealous that dhulles is MY mother in law??? A celebrity!!!!
N, I kinda am. I love how she says it so nonchalantly, like that wasn't one of the coolest movies of the 80's. "Oh, I was an extra in "the Goonies," have you heard of it?"
BTW, Grapes of Wrath...really good.
LOL on Mr. Belding.
My favorite "celebrity" (to me) was meeting Paul DiMeo from Extreme Makeover Home Edition in the airport. He sat next to me. We chatted. I shared my gum with him. I loved him. (I've also met Michael from Extreme Makeover Home Edition and he touched my great red shoes all the way up to my thigh. It was at a Christmas party. And it was odd. And inappropriate. But he's not straight, so I didn't mind.)
Kobe Bryant and his wife walked past my work window last winter.
Last Friday Trophy Life, C. and I saw Big (From Sex and the City) at the sushi restaurant we were eating at. Great eyebrows.
I would like to trip Kobe Bryant and then be like "What, Big Man?"
