Out of nowhere I'm insanely irritated by:
1. Modern art that looks like someone is trying to be odd just for the sake of being odd.
2. Posers that drive hybrids.
3. Posers that act all "Oh I'm so corporate, busy and important. My clients this and my clients that. Time is money. I'm a tool."
4. Someone that claims to be so alternative because they listen to things like The Hives. If your band is on 89X, you're about as punk rock as Avril Lavigne.
5. Question talkers.
6. Flip floppers. Make up your mind, stick to it, and make sense.
7. People that let their dogs poop in my yard and then leave it.
8. "Vintage" shirts that you try to play off as vintage but you really bought it at the mall. I don't CARE if it's from the mall, just admit it.
9. One-uppers. "Well I went back to work when my baby was 2 weeks old." That's not something to brag about to me, girly.
10. People that feign interest in my life for the sole purpose of then being able to tell me about their next super "different" thing that they're doing. i.e. trying an extreme sport, visiting some pseudo-hippy extravaganza, etc.
I think I need to do some yoga.

Yeah, #3, I have friends that when I call them say "oh my God, I am so busy today, I have about 15 seconds to talk, I'm on a huge deadline." I wanna say "you know I know what you do,and where you work right?" Not to say that any monkey could do what they do, but some monkeys...also, then why did you answer your phone if you had 15 seconds to talk? When did it become so important that we all have to be busy?
"Time is money. I'm a tool."
I could not have said it any better!
But I think people don't realize how they come across. I know that I can come across as a woman-hater, and I'm fine with that. But I think people are so into their own heads (or up their own asses) that they don't realize that what sounded so brilliant in their brains was ridiculous in real life. Besides, humanity in general has "entitlement" issues, thinking that for whatever reason, we are entitled something or someone.
Eh... I hear ya!
Regarding your yoga comment:
Pilates saved my life.
Ok, saved ME from my catastrophic view of life.
It taught me to breathe.
I was JUST looking at a course listing for pilates and yoga. I think it's a must. I've gotten so nice since Athena got here that the prick within is about to explode out of me and tell some people what it thinks... and it could rock some boats.
I really hope that I am not one of those boats you may want to rock. By the way, I have all the pilates tapes. Yeah I said it TAPES.As in VHS.
Well if they're not BETA tapes then I'm not interested.
No, of course not. I love you and it's not you :)
I hope you are feeling a bit better today! #3 cracked me up and is beyond annoying! And the one-uppers - UGH! Give me a break.
I use to do yoga and pilates and I was so relaxed. Even just the morning or evening 15 minute stress relieving ones were enough to calm me down. I just started it up again a week ago and I love it!
