I have a confession to make. I'm not cool. I know, I know it's hard to fathom, but I am in fact a nerd. I'm a bookworm, I took honors classes for fun in high school, I graduated with too many credits, and I've gone to forensic science seminars at MCO for recreational purposes. I have seen most episodes of Star Trek and I wanted to start a petition when they took Invasion off the air. And now I get weekly text messages from the Sci-Fi Network. This is because I L.O.V.E. love the Ghosthunters.
Plumbers by day — ghost hunters by night. This one-hour weekly docu-soap from the creator/executive producer of American Chopper follows a group of real-life paranormal researchers as they investigate haunted houses throughout the country, encountering every type of imaginable haunting.Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson, plumbers by trade, head up TAPS — The Atlantic Paranormal Society — a group of intrepid souls who are far from the usual collection of bespectacled Ph.D.s. They're ordinary, everyday people — office managers, factory workers, teachers and even psychic-hotline gurus — with an interest in getting to the bottom of your otherworldly disturbances. Jason, Grant and their team of moonlighting ghost-hunters are our first and last defense against uninvited paranormal visitations.
Anybody else watch stuff like this? I am completely enthralled. I wanted to know if anyone has had a crazy paranormal experience to share. I LOVE hearing them.

HEY I WAS MARRIED TO ATHENA'S PAPA AND FOR A WHILE I THOUGHT I WAS ON A EPISODE OF THE TWILIGHT ZONE...DOES THAT COUNT????
I think there should be a special about Bret Michaels and Fergie being the same person.
Nice point!
I watch a lot of parnormal television, although I don't consider myself a nerd. I watch/ed Buffy, Angel, Battlestar Gallactica, Smallville, Deadzone, 4400, LOST, New Amsterdam (new show,) and Kyle XY (on ABC Family.) I too am kind of a bookworm-my wife doesn't read, but so many people don't. I read a lot of apocalyptical books like The Road, and love Hemmingway, Fitzgerald, and Ludlum (Jason Bourne Series) So, I feel your pain, but I try and keep these revelations to myself...usually.
Ahhh Hurley, you always make me feel as though I'm not alone. Gracias. I bought my husband a book once and he looked at me like it was actually a male prostitute I was giving him.
And it sure does Anonymous... if that's your REAL name!
Nope, you are totally NOT alone!
My sister, husband and I are total sci-fi nerds!
I love Ghosthunters and we love to watch shows like Dr. Who, Torchwood, BattleStar Gallactica, Stargate, CSI...we could keep going! I am also a huge warewolf and vampire fan and love watching shows about things that are not quite normal!
Ok, when I was little (only a few years old) my mom & I lived with my aunt, cousins, and a few other family members. The house was totally haunted when my mom and her siblings grew up there and continued to be for some time.
Apparently, one night I slept in a different room than I usually sleep in and said to my mom "but what about the lady who sings to me. Will she know where I am?" Isaid this matter of factly. Of course my mom asked what lady I was talking about and I explained there was a nice lady who sings to me at night! They think it was my great Aunt Jennie who I am named after!
There were also TONS of other stories about these ghosts...or as my husband calls ghosts, temperal shifts and/or future people! hahaha!
Okay, wow. I was seriously just about to write a blog about how much I love Ghost Hunters, because I watched the marathon that was on SciFi on Wednesday when I was sick. It's like looking into a mirror with you sometimes, I swear!
