Whitney? Really? The plus-sized girl beat out the Eastern European Beauty? While I'm beyond jazzed for her, do you think this was genuine, a stunt, or their way of trying to help revolutionize the modeling industry one healthy girl at a time?
I haven't watched this season of ANTM for some reason, so I would love to think that Whitney won on pure talent. But the modeling industry isn't that nice. But I still hope.
it kills me because: i am a size 14 and that REALLY is "plus" sized in the clothing world.
to see someone who is a size 6 put into that category...well, it just makes me wonder what i'm considered to those in the fashion industry? HUGE? i would LOVE to be a "plus sized" 6.
I didn't watch this "cycle" of ANTM, but I'm incredulous that this girl is "plus-sized." Size 6 is plus-sized?
I don't like the messages that we are sending to girls of all ages, on both extremes of the spectrum. Size 00 (!) is considered stylish, and size 22W girls are being told to embrace their fatness and love it. I'm all for girls loving themselves but, ideally, healthy body-image should stem from treating your body right and taking care of yourself. Size should be nothing but a number as long as you're healthy. But calling a size 6 "plus-sized" certainly isn't helping matters.
Booooooooooring! I have a strong dislike for Tyra Banks and her "black power/woman power/model power" rantings. She is a world class idiot, and if I ever saw her face to face, I'd call her a MF 10-head...yeah, I said it!

since when did a 6 become "plus size"? to me, plus size is 12-14-16. and we all know that a girl that size will never be "ANTM". :(
