You really tried for 4 years...that seems young to me to have kids. Not to be weird, and I will never speak like this again, but I have always thought that God won't give us something we can't handle, and that some luck lies in not getting what you thought you wanted.
It's not weird to acknowledge that God has a plan, and that sometimes He answers our prayers with a "no."
God said "yes" to you on His time, and now you have a beautiful little girl, whose soul is purely Athena. A child at another time, although wonderful, would not have yielded the exact same results. And now you appreciate her all the more.
By the way, the bass player for Blur and his wife just had a baby girl and named her...Athena! Cool!

Considering what Louis was going through at the time, I couldn't agree with you more.
