A Minnesota court has ruled that the parents of 13-year-old Daniel Hauser must subject him to toxic chemotherapy treatments or they will be arrested and have their son taken away by state authorities.
I don't particularly agree that NO ONE should ever have chemotherapy, but given the fact that the child himself doesn't want to do it, I don't feel as though they should be MADE to do it. That doesn't really sound as though they are too "free", ya know?
What do you think?

While I don't think chemo is "poison", I do think chemo does some not-so-great-symptom things to your body. Since his cancer is "curable", I do think he should do the chemo. However, patients should be given the right to decide what approach they'd like to take in treatment.
Why is this medical neglect? And why isn't a 60 yr old man put in jail b/c he opts for natural treatment rather than chemo? Hmmmm.....
The government annoys me sometimes.
I hate how much I think about cancer in these poor kids these days...
I'm sure the reason the legal system is getting involved is because the boy is 13 years old, therefore a minor.
We go to a natural doctor/chiropractor and this has been an interesting article for me to read and follow. If one of us were diagnosed with cancer (Please, no GOD!) I would want regular treatment AND natural treatment from my chiro.
But, I'm an adult and apparently possess the ability to make that decision for myself, whereas the courts believe a 13 year old cannot make that decision for himself and believe that his parents are making the wrong decision that is considered neglect...
I don't know, though....
