Question for you bloggers changing your templates...

Are you using templates from somewhere or are you WAY over my head and designing stuff completely yourself?

I'm working on my inventory and trying to figure out which direction to go. I want to have buttons on a bar at the top to organize pages for Avon, Mark., and organic toys.

I'm not a complete computer moron so I should be able to keep up.

I wrote all my code myself, with some help from one of my friends who is a web designer. We've actually been talking about doing some template projects together sometime so we could spread the love to other people on blogger.

Anyway, it's a pain in the ass.

Dang, you fancy! I'm irritated with myself because I don't do enough with my site.

I would love to try to design my own, but I just don't have time right now. So I grabbed a ready-made template and tweaked the code just a bit here and there.

G&G: Great idea about putting together some templates on your own. I'd check 'em out.

I am using a pre-made template, but the amazing Kylee created my header for me. I love it.

I just use a generic blogger template, but I design my headers myself.

I believe you can add tabs to the top of blogger now in any template.

I used a premade from cutestblogontheblock.com and used photoshop to create my header.

i'd like to use something else, but for now it'll do.

i have no idea how to write code, etc.

I used a template for the background and used a template for the header BUT I managed to add a picture all by myself in photoshop - HOLA!!

Yeah, I think I am pretty computer savvy.

I do both. I usually get a template and tweek, tweek, tweek in dreamweaver and "design" in photoshop.

My last template was an exercise in futility. I hated it. (I like white blogs.)

My problem is that I know EXACTLY what I want... and I only know enough HTML to be dangerous. But I have to admit, I love learning it.

(My work blog is on wordpress and there are SO many things that I prefer on wordpress, but there are also so many things I prefer about blogger. Rock in a hard place.)

Iris - we need to get you a new, updated header. :) Say the word, sista.

I use the template from blogger and make changes. I managed to change it into 3 columns. It was a pain! Then I make my own header.
