Shocked Doesn't BEGIN to Describe it...

Seriously, shock doesn't even begin to describe how I feel that Obama won. I hoped he would win. I campaigned for him. I voted for him. But I just plain didn't think that it would happen. I honestly had myself prepared to get to know and love John McCain and Sarah Palin.

Then Obama crushed him like he was a Bush relation.

So here's my question. What the Hell happened John McCain? I honestly would like to know what everyone thinks, especially all of the extremely disappointed Republicans.

I think John McCain was too closely tied to George Bush and I think we all know the overall feelings for G.W...

And, I don't think many folks felt overly comfortable in Sarah Palin's experience.

I think it is amazing that our country actually got out and supported Barack Obama like we did!

I agree with Ky's response.

I totally agree with Ky. I think those were two of the biggest reasons.

I also think people didn't really feel comfortable or always find McCain relatable. It seemed (at least to me) that he never really opened up. When he gave his speech on election night that was the first time I really felt like I saw a bit of who he really was. People want someone they feel is real and that they can trust.

Iris I know! And when you see other countries celebrating in the streets, that to me is truly amazing that one person can do that and bring a reaction like that to so many people.

I tell you who I'm a bit tired of, though? Oprah. I just watched my DVR from yesterday, the day after the election, and I swear I wanted to scream, "WHY DON'T YOU JUST MARRY HIM, OPRAH!"

Oba-messiah, already. Enough.

I *loathe* when people idolize ONE person so much that they can't see straight. He's a person. He's NOT infallible. He's a politician, for the love.

However, I do enjoy knowing that history was made.

(I know, probably the bigger issue is why I DVR Oprah.)
