Come talk to me, my girlfriends. I NEED you!

My hair loss situation has gotten a bit worse. The top? She's pretty bad. So bad, in fact, that the wonderful extensions that I thought were the answer can no longer be used.

(Insert huge sad face and sad trombone wompwomp here.)

SO! Onto some new planning. Serious question: Have you ever seen someone with a pony tail or updo extension that actually looked GOOD? Is this possible? Dare I dream? Celebrities use them at times, don't they? Let's peruse some pictures via Google:

Jessica Simspon HairDo

Color my hair perfectly to match maybe?

Or what about a hair headband??

Am I trusting Jessica too much?

I wore my hair in an updo for 15 years. I miss it.

Look like the old me again??

What do you think? Wishful thinking or possibilities?

Awww...sorry!

I think the hair piece would have to match perfectly to not notice it's fakeness. That being said, a friend's wife wears a pony one and I would have never guessed it.

I also have two friends with Alopecia. One (older lady) wears a wig you can take on/off and you can not tell at all! And the other girl (32) has a wig/hair glued on her scalp (she's completely bald). I've known her over 15 years and never knew it wasn't her real hair.

Hope you find a solution soon that makes you feel confident again!

Those hair extension things are getting nicer and nicer. I remember when I was a kid how cheesy they looked, but now there's a kiosk at the mall (gross, I know) and you can clip them right on and I swear no one would ever notice in a million years. I had an old boss who was a professional wig mistress for Disney. I wish she was still around so we could pick her brain.
(I'm pro updo in general. Yes I am.)

Are they obvious at all? How did she match them?

My SIL wore a fake ponytail/updo thingie when she married my brother (on the beach, no less) and I seriously had NO idea until she told me. And she has really light brown hair that's not an easy match. I say give it a shot!

Ooooh. That gives me much hope. I want to be able to do my hair again.

I miss my updo soooooo much. I went from having Karen walker hair to a twig on top :(

Think I should dye my hair first and try to match it or pick one out and make hairdresser match it?

Think I should color my hair first and then shop for a match or buy one and make my hairdresser match it?
