Irritating religious bandwagons on which to jump on.
I get excited about the new Harry Potter things that come out. I fought it for a long time, but I was so happy that SOMETHING had kids into books that I just had to check it out... fast forward a few weeks later and I was one of the idiots waiting in line to pre-order and get my free Harry Potter t-shirt.
It's the time honored literary subject of good vs. evil with a little imagination mixed in. Now, these people that claim that it glorifies devil-worshipping and just plain "bad" things obviously haven't read it and are just way too easily swayed by religious leaders that love to create a craze to get people into the pews. I'm not hatin' on 'em for getting people in there, it's marketing for them too! But if you're truly going to be against this stuff, you can't pick and choose and just be against the stuff that's super popular and gets people to listen to you. You have to be against EVERYTHING that uses magic and anything that could possible (gasp) spark a young child's imagination and make them think that anything's possible. So in order to help them out, here are a few more things that they better get people freaked out about also:
1. Cinderella - Um, yeah there's a witchcraft spewing fairy godmother in this also.
2. Sleeping Beauty - More devil-worshipping witches!
3. Snow White - You guessed it! MORE! (IS DISNEY RUN BY SATAN?????)
4. Beauty and the Beast - Magic AND glorified beastiality.
5. Alice in Wonderland - That's an acid trip if I've ever seen one.
Need I go on? No. Moral of the story: Think about it for a second and see what you're REALLY repeating from someone. You might just sound like a fool. Boo yeah.
