Help my little cheerleader, would ya? Pretty Please?
We ALL know school funding bites all across the board. People are frantically trying everything they can to keep music, art, and sports in schools. To do her part, my little Cheerleader is selling Little Caesers Pizza Kits.
Even Salad Kits!
There really is something for everyone, so if you'd like to take a look at www.PizzaKit.com and tell me what you like. If you get back to me here or via email I'll ship it or drop it off and her school will ear $7 per kit. If you shop the site use code #261038 and her school gets $5 per kit.
Athena loves fundraising and understands how it helps so I always back her up.
Thanks for looking everyone!

More Conversations With Athena
(Athena holding her cookie dough fundraiser brochure. Want some?!?! I'll ship it!)
Athena is very excited about all things school related. Football games and Spirit Days are totally her thing. We've done a few fundraisers so far for the school and a can drive for a community program. She's SO excited to participate, can spot a Box Tops for Education product a mile away, but I wanted her to understand what we're doing and why. I began by explaining the school need some extra help so they can take the kids on field trips and that the principal's dream is to have iPads in the classroom. I also told her there are kids out there whose parents really need help so we give them our extra food and money
Athena: "There are people without money or food?!?!"
Me: "Yes Athena, and they need our help. They need food and money for their houses."
Athena: "We give them our extra food and money so they have it? When we need food and money Dad has it. IS DAD OUR FUNDRAISER?!?! WE'RE LIKE DAD?!?! AWESOME!!!!" *jumps up and down*
By jove, not only does she get it, she's learned to appreciate her dad's work. She makes me smile :)

Look at my kid!! Halloween Video Edition
Last night Ottawa River Road Elementary and the Summit Street McDonald's paired up to do a fundraiser to raise money for school field trips. McDonald's generously gave 15% of all profits that night and it was a monster-smashing success.
Athena could NOT wait to go. School staff was manning the counter, cheerleaders were performing, and Athena's music class showed off their vocal stylings with 2 songs:
5 Little Pumpkins (Miss Bee is in the center with the leopard print pants on.)
The Itsy Bitsy Spider (Happy Halloween!!)
"Ermahgerd! Erce creeeeeeeam!"
"Ermahgerd! Scooby!!!!!"
"HellOOOOOOOO BOYZ!"
We had so much fun. Having a kid in school is as awesome as it sounds :)
Happy Halloween!!!

Join Athena, Annabelle, and their Mommies for a walk!
Light The Night Walk is The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's evening walk and fundraising event. It is the nation's night to pay tribute and bring hope to thousands of people battling blood cancers and to commemorate loved ones lost.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) funds lifesaving research that has contributed to major advances in the treatment of blood cancers and treatments for other types of cancer, such as chemotherapy and stem cell transplants. These treatments have helped patients live better, longer lives. New targeted therapies that kill cancer cells without harming normal tissue are providing drugs and procedures that are improving quality of life.
Be sure to check my Web site frequently to see my progress, and thanks for your support!

Updated! Anyone that has ever read Athena Bee's, PLEASE stop by for this post
My dear, sweet neighbor Annabelle McKenzie is only 1 1/2 and has been diagnosed with cancer. She has gone through 3 rounds of chemo so far and we are praying that it will be over. As one can imagine, this has been very taxing on her family, so I am going to be devoting much of my energy into helping her. All sales from my Longaberger and AVON sites will generate donations to her, and I'm also making it easy to just give directly. (See button on the side)
If you'd be willing to have a button on your blog as well, PLEASE let me know!

Saving the World One Animal at a Time

So here we go again, trying to save the world one animal at a time! This here beauty is Lilly. She was saved by my dear sister in law Jill. Lilly was running the streets of Toledo, scared, hungry, and sick. The warden got her and was going to euthanize her for being 6 years old (which she's not even that old, and as if that's even a good reason!) She's being fostered by Jill right now and Planned Pethood is going to help us, but EVERYONE is strapped and the rescue bills are mounting. Soooo... we're starting another fundraiser. ANY little bit helps. We're accepting cash donations (you can send it through http://www.paypal.com/ to brocus77@gmail.com) or PLEASE do a little Christmas shopping from the website below. If you need it as a tax write off, we can help you with that too.
And another way to help IMMENSELY is to pass pass pass this on to anyone that might help!
Have a beautiful, happy, blessed day!
