I've got it pretty good. This I know. Things have changed a little bit with Athena starting school and me dipping my toes back into real estate, but a typical 24 hour period for me goes a little something like this now:
After cuddling, kissing, nursing, and sleeping with my favorite 2-year-old, we get up and at 'em at 7:50am. We then join the sweetest 5-year-old in the world on the couch for more cuddling and some cartoons. I make the ladies breakfast, get them dressed, and take Miss Athena to kindergarten at 8:50am. After drop-off, Zofia and I take care of any household or school related errands and head home. I do some housework, maybe do some social media work, and take care of any real estate business I have going on. Zofia and I cuddle some more, have lunch, nap, then pick Athena up at 3:10pm. We do homework, chat, start dinner and then welcome home dad. After some family time, it's back in bed with Zofia to start the cycle over again.
Of course I get overwhelmed sometimes. Working at home can be a challenge, housework piles up, I've got duties to take care of for the PTA, and I never get a break for just me (unless you count grocery shopping, and until they start serving booze, I don't), but for the most part I've got it easier than someone that works full time.
What about when things change? What about when I have to get TWO kids to school and start working for real? Like how do you get one kid to elementary school on time, get the other one to junior high on time, and THEN make it to a job on time? How do people do this? When the time comes will I get one of those necklaces that Hermione has in Harry Potter to be three places at once? Is that how parents do it? Honestly, it's the only way I can think of.
Are you someone that does it all? How does it work exactly?

Zofia's Turn for School
I'll admit it, I've been pretty lax with Zofia. I baby her quite a bit and with the emotions of Athena starting school, I'm trying to hold on to toddlerhood as long as I can.
All of a sudden she started making it clear that she's learning the alphabet, numbers, shapes, and colors with or without me. The time had come to bring out The Big Preschool Workbook. Most of it is still beyond her but she's loving the shapes and coloring pages.
For craft time, NickJr.com has always been my go-to site for printables. It's full of fun stuff to make, color, create, and bake and all of Zofia's favorite characters are there. Today she colored Athena a Bubble Guppies Halloween picture and we made a Brobee mask.
I'm excited to do this all over again with a child that is so completely different from Athena. It's a whole new adventure for us.

A WAHM's Office and Mini Co-workers
After being a SAHM for the last 5 years I've recently jumped back into the real estate game. I do all of my work from home and only schedule appointments for when my husband is home with the ladies. It really is an ideal situation and I don't take any of it for granted. As I prepare to submit an offer, I looked around at my office and company and had to smiles.
A typical office scene:
I'm now off to send a fax. First I'll have to get the dog off the table and stiff-arm Zofia away from the sending documents. I hope your work day is going just as swimmingly.
A typical office scene:
Here the ladies are working on some Angry Birds.
Athena is having a little face time with herself.
Zofia is diligently working on her ABC's.
Perhaps HR should have a little talk with Zofia
about co-worker booby etiquette.

Conducting business with my pants down - A WAHM
As some of you know, I have my real estate license and like to fancy myself a WAHM from time to time. I assist the broker with email and phone call follow-ups, and this is precisely what I was doing yesterday... much to Zofia's dismay.
I was attempting to leave a voicemail for a loan officer and Zofia went bat-shit-crazy. I tried shushing her and scooting her away with my leg while trying to keep my voice even. She took my leg being out as an opportunity to pull my pants down.

Blurry as she shimmies them down my leg.
Pants are down. Now to attempt getting back up the birth canal.
Luckily right in my reach were my Professional Grade Baby Shushers
Aaaaaawww yeeeeeahhh. Works every time.

What have I been doing for these last couple months with no computer?
I've been spending time with these lovely ladies of course!
Zofia

Athena
Let me tell you, having two ladies has been wonderful. I'm almost embarrassed by how scared I was to have a second baby. This. This is what I'm here for. I don't have a super important career. I'm not a super important member of society. I'm just super important to two young ladies.
And they have captured me completely.
Louis and I have been spending every single day with our girls. We've been going to parks, the zoo, the pumpkin patch, and just being at home together as a foursome. I rock my sweet Zofia to sleep every night. Tell me I'm spoiling her. I don't care. Someday I'll miss this time. I'll miss her softly nursing to sleep, one hand clutching my shirt and the other wrapped around my side. And someday I'll miss being the single most important person in Athena's world. I'll miss her drifting off to sleep with her little arms wrapped tightly around my neck.
That's it. I am enamored. My only purpose is to love these ladies more than anyone has ever loved in the history of the world.
