Is this, in fact, the ugliest dress on the planet?
Louis claims that it is. I, however, do not believe that he has done the proper research to claim this the absolute ugliest in the world. I wear it with a black cardigan and black knee-high boots and do work.
He always use to make a scrunched up face whenever I came out in it and I politely ignored it. Then one day he asked:
"Why do you have to keep wearing that stupid dress?"
Me: (shocked and appalled) "What?? Why?? What's wrong with it??
Louis: "It is the absolute ugliest dress in the world. It's too short (what?? It comes to my knees!) it's too baggy, and the colors are horrible.
Me: "YOU ARE WRONG! I'M GOING TO ASK THE INTERNET!"
No internets, I want you to know that if it truly is ugly, I want you to be honest. I promise it will only make me laugh yet it would make Louis's day to be right about something for once in his life.
So tell me:

Friends, do I want this dress?
I'm a maxi dress enthusiast. I wear them all the beautiful warm days. They're comfortable, flattering, and transition from home to a night out flawlessly.
Well, Mark claims to have made a winter maxi dress. I've never worn one in the cold weather months. Do I want this dress?
It's $38.00 and the site says:
Perfect for holiday parties, our dress looks amazing even after the clock strikes twelve! That's the magic of this maxi–it's comfy in soft, stretchy jersey but also has all the glamour of a gown with a gathered, elasticized waist and a flirty, peek-a-boo lace back (shown on opposite page). 95% viscose/5% spandex. Imported. 60" L from center back to hem (on medium).
What say you?

Every girl needs fashion advice from her friends...
...and since my dearest lovelies are all here, I pose this question to you.
Since hitting 30 I've become more aware of the appearance of other mommies. In certain situations I look around and wonder why these other mommies look so much more mature than me. I wonder how they make the jump from shopping at, say, Forever 21 to shopping at Chico's. (Not that there's anything WRONG with Chico's. I just think it's the epitome of fine, classy, middle-aged lady shopping.) Is it a slow transition or can it just happen overnight?
My personal quandary today? Bathing suits. The ones I have been drawn to the last few years are VERY different from the suits of summers past. Here are the front runners:
Am I drawn to these because of my love for all things retro or because they're "mom suits?" If you saw me in one of these (which some of you have) would you think "Cute!" or "Look at that mom in her swimdress! Hahahaha!"???
I think my age and my van and my demure hem lines have me feeling insecure. What do you think?

A wedding at 37 weeks pregnant. WHAT do I wear???

I really DO NOT want to wear color. I feel like it would be too much on a girl of my, um, girth. Gray/charcoal may be as far as I'll go with that.
Can I wear pants with an embellished top? My only concern about the shorter dresses is what if I get elephant legs again?
I think I like the long black one with these accessories:

I would like opinions/suggestions/etc. as I have been told on more than one occasion that I dress "weird."

Oh this just irritated me...
I went to Google "Jessica Simpson HairDo" (as you all well know I'm a big fan of wigs) because I want some of the bangs here:

Yeah, those are CLIP ONS!!! Aren't they cute? I found them on sale on Amazon... but that's beside the point.
The point is a more searched Jessica Simpson term is "Jessica Simpson FAT!" followed by this picture:
Poor outfit choice? Uh huh. Unflattering bra? You bet. Fat girl? NO WAY. I'd guess she's a size 6 AT THE MOST. So if she's fat, so am I. And if you call ME fat, I'll punch you in the neck.
So just tell me I have cute bangs and we'll be friends.

Big Sunglasses are the ONLY Way!
So I was reading the Style Icon post of Quiet Oasis about how she finally had to cave and get large sunglasses. I thought to myself, "Yep, it's the only way sister." And then I went to grab mine... THEY ARE MISSING! Went to get the backup HUGE pair, THEY ARE BROKEN! So I had to wear these to go get some new ones and I gotta say, what exactly are they supposed to be blocking out??
And I'm back in business people!

They couldn't block a punch from a 90 year old lady! Hey-oh!!!!
So I got these....
And I'm back in business people!
